General Questions
How can I lend my items on Wearr?
Becoming a lender is easy! Simply sign up, list your designer pieces on our platform, and set your rental price. Once a renter books your item, you’ll ship it using a QR code provided by Wearr—no need to print a label!
Make sure your item is clean before and after each rental to maintain its quality and ensure a great experience for renters.
What types of items can I lend?
You can list items from brands on our designer list as long as they meet these criteria:
- Retail value: €300–€2,500 for clothing, up to €1000 for bags.
- Condition: Less than 2 years old and in great shape—no stains, damage, or heavy wear.
- Ethical: No real fur.
- Not one-of-a-kind: We can’t accept irreplaceable couture pieces.
Wearr reserves the right to edit or remove listings that don’t meet these guidelines.

Listing
How do I list an item?
Listing your item is quick and easy! Here’s how:
1️⃣ Click “List an Item” – Find it in the top right corner of our website.
2️⃣ Add the details – Include the brand, size, fit, and any style notes. Be as detailed as possible! If your item has minor imperfections, mention them and upload clear photos.
3️⃣ Upload photos – Your main image should be a clean, background-free (“ghost”) shot of the item. Also, include at least one photo showing the item in its current condition.
4️⃣ Set your delivery & cleaning costs – Factor in shipping cost, as all items must be sent via a tracked and signed-for service.
That’s it—you’re all set to rent out your wardrobe!
How does the pricing work?
As you list an item, Wearr suggests a rental price, typically 10-15% of the retail price, based on demand and brand value. But you’re in full control! Set a competitive price or go premium to maximise your earnings.
What kind of photos should I upload?
To make your listing stand out and attract more renters, high-quality, well-presented images are key. Follow these top tips for capturing the perfect photos:
✅ Use a White or Neutral Background
A clean, uncluttered background makes your item pop and gives a professional touch. Photograph from multiple angles to provide a complete view.
✅ Consider Background Removal Tools
Tools like Canva can eliminate distracting backgrounds, keeping the focus solely on your item.
✅ Show Only the Item
Ensure the item you’re listing is the only focus. Avoid additional accessories or clutter that might confuse potential renters.
✅ Ensure the Item is Neatly Displayed
If photographing on a hanger, make sure it’s centered and straight. A lopsided or poorly hung item can reduce its appeal.
✅ Avoid Low-Quality Images
High-resolution, well-lit photos make a huge difference. Avoid blurry images or screenshots, as they may not accurately reflect the item's quality and details.
✅ Show It Off!
Seeing the item worn by a model or yourself helps renters visualize the fit and style, making them more likely to book it.
Wearr may edit or modify images at its discretion to enhance your listing’s appeal. Taking the time to present your items beautifully will help them get noticed—and rented—faster!
Can I de-list an item from Wearr any time?
Yes! You can remove your item at any time as long as it is not currently rented out. Simply click the "Request to Delete" button within your Lender Wardrobe.
If your item is actively booked, you’ll need to wait until the rental period is completed before removing it.
Managing Rentals
How do I ship the item?
Once a rental is confirmed, follow these steps to ensure a smooth process:
✅ Pack it securely – Use a protective bag or box and include any care instructions.
✅ Ship with tracking – Use the QR code provided by Wearr and upload the tracking number.
✅ Take photos before sending – Snap clear, time-stamped photos of the item within 24 hours before shipping to document its condition. This helps protect you in case of any disputes.
Your wardrobe is your marketplace, so have fun with it! Include a handwritten note for a personal touch and help your renters with any queries. Building good relationships with your renters leads to a trusted following & glowing reviews!
Going the extra mile ensures happy renters and repeat customers. ✨
Who is responsible for cleaning?
As a Lender, you are responsible for cleaning your item before sending it on another rental. You can choose how to clean it - whether at home or through a professional service - giving you full control over the process, cost, and choice of dry cleaner.
For delicate or high-value pieces, we recommend dry cleaning to maintain their condition and extend their lifespan. Keeping your items in top shape means more rentals and happy customers!
What happens if the item doesn’t fit the Renter?
If your renter finds that the item doesn’t fit, don’t worry! They can request a refund and return the item within 24 hours after receipt. You’ll still receive payment for the cleaning costs you set in your listing.
💡 Wearr’s Top Tip: If you’re receiving multiple Fit Refunds, try adding more details to your listing, such as your height and how the item fits you, exact measurements and extra photos from different angles.
Providing as much information as possible helps renters make the right choice—leading to fewer returns and more successful rentals!
How do I refund the order?
To request a refund for your customer, please contact our team at hello@wearr.com. Make sure to include the order number and the refund amount.
Our team will process your request as soon as possible.
Earnings
How and when do I get paid?
You will receive the payments once the rental is completed and the item is returned in good condition.
Damage & Safety
What if my item has not been returned?
In 99% of cases, items are returned without any issues. However, in the rare event of a delay:
1️⃣ First, contact the renter directly to check if there’s a reason for the delay.
2️⃣ If the return deadline has passed with no communication, reach out to our team via the Contact Form or at help@wearr.com within three days of the rental end date.
3️⃣ We will open a dispute case. If the item is deemed lost, the renter will be charged an additional fee for the fair second-hand value of the item.
We're here to support you every step of the way! 🚀
What if the item has been damaged?
In 99% of cases, items are returned without any issues. However, in the rare event of a damage:
Damages up to €50 are covered by Wearr's Lenders Insurance and are already included in our platform fees. If your item is damaged, you can request a refund by providing:
- Photos of the item before shipping (with timestamps)
- Photos of the item after receiving it back (with timestamps)
- A repair invoice
For significant damages, the renter will be responsible for purchasing the item at its listed price on our website, minus the rental fee they already paid.
What is considered as significant damage?
Significant damage includes any harm that makes the item unwearable or significantly alters its appearance, such as:
❌ Large stains that cannot be removed
❌ Big Tears, rips, or burns
❌ Any damage that cannot be easily repaired or cleaned
